Windscreen Repairs
Windscreen damage is normally caused by a stone or other projectile hitting the outside layer of the windscreen, or stress caused by the twisting of the body of the vehicle. A windscreen is made up of three layers of material. The outside layer is glass, the middle layer is usually PVB (polyvinyl butyl), and the third is another glass layer. The most common forms of damage are crack, star, bullseye or combinations.
A qualified Novus repair technician, using the Novus repair method, can fix most forms of damage within forty minutes. This means you can get back on the road again with minimum delay and fuss.
Windscreen Replacement
If the damaged glass cannot be repaired, and replacement is necessary, Novus will replace it to your total satisfaction.
Utilising manufacturers' specified guidelines, materials and equipment, and adhering to Australian Standards, Novus provides windscreen, side and rear glass replacement.
Reseals
From time to time, wear and aging can result in water leaks, wind noise, and other annoying factors that can be fixed simply with a Novus reseal. There may be nothing wrong with the screen itself, yet the rubber or bonding method can fail. We utilise a fast-curing urethane that will ensure a quick turnaround on all bonded windscreens and a high quality butyl mastic for all rubber sealing.
Glass Scratch Removal, Water Spot Damage, etc
At times, the windscreen wiper blades of your vehicle cause scratching on the windscreen (grit trapped in the blade, faulty wiper arm, or incorrect cleaning of windscreen). Even rear or side glass can become scratched. Novus removes most scratches using advanced scratch removal systems that are the best in the world. (These methods can also be used on building glass, TV screens, glass top tables, etc).
